Thinkin about gettin a new job

This past week was spring break. Alot of people go away on vacation and some people stay home. I was a person who stayed home and instead of thinking that it was an actual vacation time I applied for many jobs around the area that had to do with golf coarses. Now I'm not one to enjoy a game of golf or suggest to play a round or two but when I heard the amount of tips one can make in a week sounded like a good summer job to me. And within 3 days of applying I found a job at Black Wolf Run which is close to home and I know some of the current employees and on Monday I have an interview. I like to work, which is a good thing to like I hear because I'll be working for a long time. And hopefully having 2 jobs this summer will keep me busy enough.

Stuck

It was the first summer I got to drive. I was 16 and had a Ford Explorer at my finger tips. My friends and I got the good idea to go off roading on some abandoned property. Turns out that the 4x4 wasnt working and I got stuck in 3 feet of pure mud. A VERY long story short we went through shovels and verious methods of traction to escape when I finally got the idea that we had to start calling people to get my truck out. And all looked good until the second truck got stuck in the process. Finally I called my buddy who owns a F-250 duelly diesel that did the trick to get us out after 7 hours of being stuck and not telling our parents what really happened. While mine eventually found out by the 20lbs of mud that had fallen off the bottom of the truck that I couldn't see to clean. Moral of the story I should've just gone faster through the mud.

first injury in a long while

Last Thursday was my intramural basketball team's first playoff game. We have a regular season record of 2wins and 4 losses. Not a promising record but we knew we were better than that and showed we were by winning our first playoff game. What happened within that game however is what has affected my mobility the past few days. It was roughly 15 seconds into the game when I jumped to grab a rebound and was quick to find myself in immediate pain and on the gym floor clutching my ankle. I yelled for someone to sub themselves into the game for me as I rolled myself off the court. I hobbled over to our bench to decide what I should do. The score keeper asked if I needed ice, I replied no and thought I could just wait it out. I didn't play the first of the 1st half and decided, I could tie my toe tighter and that it would ease some of the pain and swelling. It worked and I played a majority of the second half. We won and I was happy about that but what I didn't know at the time is that I only made the injury worse and prolonged my recovery. An hour later I was iceing my ankle and keeping it elevated I decided I wanted to get a coke, but what I soon found out was that I could put zero weight on my foot and needed crutches. The next day and a half I manuvuered via crutches. Not a big fan. As the weekend progressed I got use to the ankle brace and started taking alot of advil to forget about it. The swelling has gone down substancially and it was begun to drain and bruise. And hopefully I'll be able to play basketball again in the second round of playoffs on tuesday.

the lost wallet

I have owned only one wallet in my time and it is a sterdy leather wallet, that makes elder wallets proud and velcro wallets jealous. Enough about my wallets personality. It was a snowy day, just like this past Friday (hint it was this past Friday) when I was driving to my buddies house. I was getting out of my car and decided to run to the door because it was cold and I didn't have a jacket. I went inside sat down had some chips, time had past and we left to another one of my buddies houses. And we basically moved to different houses throughout the night UNTIL we got the urge for some T-bell. So I'm driving to T-bell and I'm just about to give my order when I reach for my wallet (because the amount of food I order all depends on how much ching I got on me). That's when I discovered the absense of my wallet! So guess what my friends and I ended up doing for an hour and a half?! That's correct retracing my steps for my wallet and just take a guess at which house it was at...yeah the very first house, the one I HAAAAD too run at because I was cold. So moral of the story if it's cold outside don't forget your jacket!
