glad im not that guy

Seemed to be a normal week until the weekend came along. I knew that it was gonna happen, that's what weekends do they end the week. But it's what happened this specific weekend that will alter my buddies weekends for the rest of his high school "career". I first got the call from his mother last night while I was watching a movie. She seemed mad at me at first but after an explanation she cooled down. My friend (that is in trouble) is my other friends brother and thats how i know the mother so well cas of the fact that Im friends with both of her sons. It turns out the younger brother decided to take part with some boozin while on a weekend (away) tournament for basketball. One thing led to another and he ended up over doing it while at a hotel they were staying at. He could barely stand and was causing a problem with every flail he had. After a while the coaches got suspicious and did what they had to do. Sat him down asked him what he did, who else was with him, and is there any left? The coaches didnt get their answers easily but in the end got what they wanted. The tournament was ended on a bad note and with living in a small community, word travels fast and there has already been a meeting with the players parents who were and weren't involved. Suspensions from games are in order and other various punishments from parents have been made. Now Im not saying by any means that ive never done something stupid (ive probably done more stupid then smart), but ive never been caught, which is a bad way to live life because the things you do when no one is watching is what defines you as a person, but in the instance that it was a school event anyone would rather have to deal with their own conscience rather then their coaches, teachers, parents, and friends finding out what they did. And what Ive learned throughout my run at life is that there's a time and a place for everything and if these friends of mine woulda just asked me what I thought about the idea they wouldn't be grounded and suspended. Stupid is what stupid does and hopefully they've learned from their mistakes because most importantly at the end of the day I dont want to get a phone call from an angry parent that isnt mine!
